MTM Critical Metals (ASX: MTM) has recovered 3.13% antimony (Sb) from U.S.-sourced e-waste feedstock using its proprietary Flash Joule Heating (FJH) technology, achieving 98% recovery to water-soluble chloride. This grade is more than 3x higher than major mined deposits, such as China’s Xikuangshan, and highlights the value of urban waste streams as domestic sources of critical minerals.

Antimony is designated a critical mineral by both the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Energy, yet the U.S. has no significant domestic production. MTM’s results demonstrate the potential for onshore recovery of antimony from electronic scrap, supporting U.S. strategic supply chain resilience.

MTM is advancing its U.S. strategy with a pre-permitted demonstration site in Texas and is actively engaging with DoD and DoE on potential funding opportunities. This milestone builds on prior success recovering high-grade gold, copper, and other metals from the same feedstock.
