MTM Critical Metals (ASX: MTM) has signed an MOU with Meteoric Resources (ASX: MEI) to advance downstream processing of MREC from the Caldeira Rare Earth Project using MTM’s proprietary Flash Joule Heating (FJH) technology.

Lifted magnet REE content from 30 % to 72 % of total REO

Tripled the heavy REE share (6 % → 17 %)

Recovered 81 % of terbium without solvents

Achieved enrichment comparable to solvent extraction in a faster, modular, and acid-free process

The collaboration aims to evaluate scale-up, integration and commercial models. MTM continues to engage with other REE projects, including hard-rock and waste-derived feedstocks.
